Beautiful ladies + An awesome locale = Totally rocken portraits!!
Kamela, Meli, and Ledina totally made my job easy...mixed with pure beauty and hilarious personalities, we had an absolute blast at their recent portrait session.
First, check out Kamela...
She was such a sweetheart! I was totally surprised when I learned this was only her second true photo session. Working with her, I thought she was a seasoned pro...rocking her angles here and piercing eyes there. And those shoes...Oh how I LOVE her shoes!!!
And check out Meli...
She was the trooper, willing to get all up in the cobwebs and weeds. And the lack of breeze down below the bridge, made for a stuffy, rather sweaty session, but did she care? Nope, she just tousled her hair and glistened in the sun. Stunning!!
And we can't forget the fabulous Ledina...
She was a blast, up for trying anything! You may remember her "Hair" photos from the earlier continuous shooting post...not to mention she totally rocked the white pants!

SNEAK PEEK...Christina & Justin are married! {Lewisville Wedding Photographer}
Last weekend, I had the honor of assisting Teresa, with LightBox Photography, at a really sweet, intimate wedding. There are some many fun photos to come, but I just had to share this one sneak peek!
The exit is one of my favorite moments of the wedding day...the time just before the new husband and wife run off to start their new life together...it's so exciting!! Congrats Christina and Justin!!

Trisa & Jonny are married! {McKinney Wedding Photographer}
Trisa and Jonny are so perfect for one another, it's amazing! They compliment one another so well, and on their special day a few weeks ago, they celebrated their love at an intimate wedding at their home, creating such a loving family!
Trisa is so not your common Dallas bride...worried about nothing more than if the children and guests will have fun. She is quite the planner but totally low key at the same time. Wearing a beautifully simple, creme party dress as her wedding gown, styling her own hair and makeup, and helping her fiance (now husband) and kids get ready themselves, she prepared for her special day. It all could not have been more perfect...well maybe the rainy weather, but the festivities we amazing! Since the whole celebration was kept pretty quiet to everyone, I hope you enjoy...
The rings were so neat, "Choose the Right", but slightly complicated as each one fit together like a puzzle piece. Hailey did have fun trying to figure it out though...
Mr. Hayden took a while to warm up to me, playing hide and seek anytime he caught me looking at him, but he totally warmed up as the day progressed...check out that smile!
I absolutely love how the children were not just part of the wedding party, but part of the actual wedding itself, active in every part as a true blend of the family...
Jonny has dubbed his car as the "other woman", so you know we had to include her in the festivities. Who doesn't love wedding photos in the midst of a garage?! =)
A few stragglers managed to escape early, but cheers to the happy couple and their guests who lovingly celebrated with them!...
Groups of silly faces can be cliche, but this family is so fun and playful, it just fit them...
Congratulations Jonny, Trisa, Hailey, and Hayden! It was a true honor to not only capture your wedding memories, but to be a part of it. I wish you many years of smiles and love!

Nikki's Portraits {Richardson Senior Photographer}
Meet Nikki, our new senior model for the class of 2011!!
We had an awesome time bouncing around the streets of downtown. I absoutely love the Deep Ellum area, mixing that artsy feel with that perfect touch of run-down goodness...and throw in a beautiful senior-to-be, it's an ideal combination!
Nikki may have been a little uncomfortable in the beginning (being her first solo shoot), but with a quick bit of direction, she warmed up real quick...not to mention the camera just loves her! Combining a little sweetness with a little fashion, Nikki totally rocked this portrait session! Enjoy!
...And you've got to love that natural fan...so grateful the wind was on our side that morning! Thanks so much Nikki!
Cattura Photography is now booking 2011 Senior sessions. There's a ton of places in the metroplex to rock your specific personality, so shoot me an email and let's get it booked - Jessica@catturamemories.com!

An interesting alternative...
I'm a Blackberry girl, but I have tons of friends and family who always complain about their iPhone's camera (or lack of a quality one at least). I found this video comical but totally fascinating, showing that photography can be wonderful with just a bit of effort...kudos to RLMorris Photography...
...This totally hushes that little voice of desire for that $7k Nikon D3X...well at least for now! I'm sure it will rear it's ugly head soon enough!
For more info about how I can capture your lifestyle memories, with my ole faithful (and so much better than an iPhone 3G camera), please email me at Jessica@catturamemories.com...or visit my website at www.CatturaMemories.com. I'd love to hear from you!!

Happy Birthday America!
So, I realize it's technically July 5th, but I hope all had a wonderful Independence Day! I wish I had the opportunity to capture some of the awesome firework display I experienced down south, but I spent the weekend with a disposable camera, which doesn't exactly permit quality night photography.
None the less, it's the American flag that truly symbolizes my American pride, and I just had to capture this symbol along the way. Though a little tattered, I love how it continues to stand strong, even on a windy day. Happy birthday America...and I'm truly proud to be an American!
